Annabel's New Ride

Today our Early On PT brought Annabel her pony walker and she LOVES it! She was fussing the first time she was taken out of it. It has a nice tray on it so she can play and she's even started taking a few steps backwards in it! She drags her left foot so we need to work on that. And yes, the other two have already been very curious about it and Johnathan even helped her push it tonight!

The trio have been introduced to a few new foods lately - kraft mac'n'cheese and pancakes (our new Saturday morning family tradition). Mady and Johnathan are doing great at feeding themselves these foods, Annabel still needs help from a spoon. Johnathan is funny, every now and then he leans down to the tray and eats right off that, he is ALL boy! We're working on getting the kids off the nipples on the sippy cups for good and we were pleasantly surprised with Mady, she took right off and in three days is now solely using the straw! The other two are still not wanting anything to do with it but I figure focus on one child at a time and go from there. Once they're back up in weight we need to ween them of their bedtime drink and from there the next hurdle will be getting them to feed themselves with a spoon - sounds messy and tiring just thinking about the challenge! B.J.'s mom did buy them these full length bibs so hopefully that will help!

It was so great to have a nice day on Sunday, we were able to take the trio out for their first walk of the year! I just had to get a picture of them all bundled up. This past weekend I also started playing with Mady's, it is finally long enough to put the top part in a little ponytail, I love her curls in the back and how it all cascades down!

Tomorrow I take Johnathan to the orthopedic doctor to follow-up from his hip dysplasia. I think after this appointment it might become a yearly one for awhile, yeah! Thursday I take Annabel to the pediatricians for a follow-up from her shunt surgery/weight check-up and then Friday afternoon Johnathan has his speech evaluation, Annabel's is next Friday. B.J.'s parents are coming to town this weekend to celebrate his b-day and are going to watch the kids Saturday night so we can go out for Valentine's - Stillwater here we come!

The kids look great as always! I am so happy Annabel likes her pony walker, and that is hilarious about Johnathan eating off the plate! Mady looks too cute with her hair up, I can't wait till our kids can meet looks like it might be for the walk they will meet for the first of many times!
