Baptism Reaffirmation

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect 1st Mother's Day! We celebrated the babies baptism reaffirmation at church (they were baptized on July 24, 2007, in the hospital because of their state of health), this time including the Godparents in the ceremony. We had a very nice luncheon afterward and it was the first time our immediate family and close friends were able to see the babies. B.J.'s family came in from NY and overall it was just a nice weekend. The babies did great during the church service, all three ended up taking naps!

The first picture is of our family with our Pastor and the second of our family and the Godparents. The Godparents are: Annabel - Kevin and Sharon Storch and Matt and Carol Ann Nassoiy, Madelyn - Matt and Kristin Weber, and Johnathan - Eric and Dani Krohn and Renee Thelen. Johnathan's Godmother, Dani, made each of their babies their baptismal gowns. They were beautiful and mean so much to our family. The day was filled with emotions, joyous for celebrating the reaffirmation of baptism and being able to finally bring the babies to church but also rememberance of why they were first baptized in the hospital and how close we were to having a much different outcome.

Other than preparing for the baptism reaffirmation there has been a lot of other things going on lately. Johnathan and Madelyn got their glasses last Friday. Johnathan loves having his on because his script is so strong that he can actually see so much now! Mady on the other hand isn't so sure about them, I think because her script isn't very strong. It is pretty cute seeing all three babies in them. We also took Johnathan and Mady a week and a half ago for their helmet appointment and both of them have improved quite a bit in shaping, Johnathan more than Mady but both looking really good. I'm hoping it will only be another month or so for Johnathan, maybe a little longer for Mady. The poor things sweat like crazy in them and it's not even hot out yet!

Some of the latest things they've been doing is that Johnathan is doing better eating his solids finally, he's also been rolling a lot, is very interested in his sisters and if one is upset trys to console them, and he's overall just been so happy and very talkative. He loves standing and jumping in his exercauser. Mady continues to love socializing and is constantly figuring out new things to do, her latest is waving hi and giving hi-fives. She is our champ at eating solids and although she isn't as chunky as the other two, she looks great! Annabel has been very vocal lately and doing much better at focusing on us for conversations. She's been grasping more toys with both hands and is a lot more interactive with her brother and sister. She's also joined the other two in blowing raspberries. She usually eats her solids well too but isn't quite as consistent as Mady. Annabel gets very disrupted if her sleep schedule is off, it greatly affects her eating and her temperament! All three babies are teething terrible - the last two weeks were very rought with lack of sleep but it seems better again this week, thank goodness!

The babies current weights are Annabel - 14lbs 4 ozs, Madelyn - 11lbs 13 1/2 ozs, and Johnathan - 13lbs 13ozs. Johnathan is catching Annabel slowly but surely! Believe it or not we actually only have one more appointment this month (next week for Johnathan's audiology) other than Early On but then the next 2 months are busy, busy since they're 1 year b-day is coming up so there are a lot of follow-ups. This coming weekend we're looking forward to a celebration/shower for the babies at the church I grew up at. The women of the church wanted to throw a shower for us once the babies could come, which is very nice!
