Successful Walk and Good Times

I feel like every week lately has been so busy and it’s not going to get any easier this summer but I am excited for some of the things we have planned coming up!

So over the last few weeks we definitely have some updates! Last Tuesday (April 21) Mady officially started walking halfway across the room on her own and has been cruising ever since! The orthotics has helped to stabilize her a lot and she is much more confident in her walking. Annabel continues to work on her sitting and has been rolling like crazy! Johnathan is now off and running, even doing well outside on uneven ground! Here are some videos of Mady walking,

Annabel rolling and sitting on the bench,
and Johnathan with his curiousity for everything. Yes, 2 of them are sideways and I couldn't figure out easily how to rotate them, I will work on that for next time but they are cute so I figured I'd share anyway!

The trio did fight a bit of a cold last week, Mady fairing the best, Annabel ended up with an ear infection and on amoxicillin but she is getting better and was much happier yesterday. Needless to say the cold brought on poor eating so they’re pretty much all stuck at their weights again. : ( It always seems to be one step forward and two steps back with them.

The kids had their first dentist appointment Wednesday morning and all three did great. A little bit of crying but not bad and no cavities – yeah!! The room is set-up perfect for the trio, it’s a big room with three dentist chairs so we literally just moved down the row, it worked great! Unfortunately I did not take any pictures this time; Wednesday afternoon was lay-offs at GM so my mind was elsewhere. Thankfully I am still employed, although 2 people were let go from my group. With everything going on last week it was pretty stressful at times!

We had the March for Babies walk at Kensington on Sunday and it turned out to be a beautiful day! The event was well organized and a lot of fun. Mady even walked some of it herself; the other two were quite content in the stroller. I want to thank everyone who donated to me or our team or participated in the fundraiser at BW3’s – I raised over $1200 and our team raised about $1500!

This past weekend our friends the Krohn’s (Johnathan’s Godparents) stayed with us, myself and Dani were able to go scrapbooking on Friday night and then our husbands went golfing on Saturday. They then did the walk with us on Sunday. It was a fun weekend but was a little crazy at times with 6 kids and 2 dogs in the house, we parents were definitely outnumbered
