A HUGE Milestone Reached!

What an exciting week it’s been, all three kids have progressed in one way or another! As of last Friday, per our Early On PT, Annabel is officially sitting on her own! Unsupported, playing freely with toys! Granted, she still does throw herself back from time to time but overall she’s doing it!!! We've started her on the treadmill again now that she has her orthotics, it is amazing the difference in how she is happy to be doing it now vs. the last time we attempted when her shunt was failing and she didn't enjoy it all. This Saturday Annabel starts therapeutic riding, I'm so excited to see how this can help her too! Last week at OT Annabel was also picking up puffs with her right hand and was then working on transitioning them to her left! Annabel has also been eating very well lately and hardly rocking in the highchair, all attributed to her sensory needs being met by the bouncing/swinging. This is a video of what we do for her, she loves it! Listen closely, you can hear her giggling like crazy!!

Yesterday Mady started walking more, cruising all the way across the room over and over! The orthotics have helped her so much! She keeps picking up new words, her latest is she comes with me to feed the dogs and when I say “stay”, she now says it too!

Johnathan’s speech is continuing to develop nicely. His latest is that when going down the slide he’s now saying “Wee…”. He is cruising all over, a lot of the times now trying to run, he is such a goof! His latest bad habit is pulling the girls (mostly Mady's) hair. They can be playing together so great and the next thing you know he pulls, she screams, and from that point on for quite awhile she'll scream anytime he comes near. The frustrating part is he knows he's wrong, if you catch him and start to come towards him he runs right away and trys to hide, he is a sneaky little pistol!

We tried giving the kids chocolate pudding the other day for the first time, thus far none of my kids are big chocolate fans. We did get some cute pictures trying to get them to taste it though!
