Johnathan’s lung function test went… Well, it didn’t. I suspected that it may not be successful this time given that each time he’s had a hard time taking the sleepy med and the last test was almost cancelled because he kept puking it back up but he did finally get enough to get sleepy enough. Not the case this time. So, the test was cancelled and he will not be retested now until he’s 5 or 6 can follow instructions regarding taking breaths, etc. The good news is that he will not be sedated for these tests ever again!! The doctor was happy with how he’s been doing respiratory-wise so after Memorial Day we’re going to go from 2 puffs 2x’s/day of his inhaler to 1 puff 2x’s/day. This is the same time that we will take Annabel off of hers’ for the summer.
Overall the doctor did not give me a hard time about his weight, they finally seemed to accept that he truly does go thru cycles of eating well and then hardly eating and is currently in one (although he finally started doing better again yesterday!!). So, the plan is to watch his weight to make sure he doesn’t dip off of his curve but as long as he follows his own he’s fine. So overall a good appointment, just a tiring day.
