Hopefully everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving, spending quality time with family and friends, resting, and possibly getting some of your Christmas shopping done! We had a very nice Thanksgiving at our house. B.J. cooked an awesome meal as usual and the trio loved eating it,
especially the pumpkin pie! We had my parents over for dinner and just had a nice, relaxing day. It was so great having all three babies home this year! And yes, I was crazy and went to the midnight madness sales at the outlets. I have to say it was
well worth it, I got GREAT deals at Children’s Place, pretty much getting the kids their next fall/winter wardrobe! I also got them their first pair of Stride Rite’s to learn to walk properly. Mady has the biggest feet at 4 ½’s, Annabel and Johnathan are both wearing 4 wides. The trio are continuing to develop, Annabel is doing some great things with her left hand
(Sunday Johnathan was trying to take the toy keys from her and she transferred them to her left hand to get them away from him!!) and with her new shoes she’s been weight-bearing on both of her feet and loves jumping in the jumperoo for a little while, strengthening her muscles. Annabel also popped her right top tooth thru so now she has all four like the other two. Teething seems to affect her more than the others so we were happy when this one popped thru! Mady has been getting stronger with her side-stepping and can finally get herself both up and down without getting upset. She has also started shaking her head “no” in response to questions you ask her, so you need to be careful of what you ask! Mady has also started saying more sounds (her latest word is tree), it is so fun listening to her talking away. Her and Johnathan are starting
to get more interested in actually playing with toys, opening and closing things and putting pieces in/taking them out. Johnathan has been continuing to explore, using so many things as steps and climbing thru things (like end tables). The other day he was standing and holding on to Chloe and let go for about 20 seconds before he fell on to his bum so he’s getting closer! My mom stitched Johnathan’s new headband up so now he’s styling in his hearing aids!Johnathan still weighs the most at 18lbs 8ozs, Annabel next at 17lbs 8ozs, and Mady closing the
gap at 17lbs 5ozs. Mady will probably end up the biggest yet! Thursday is a big day for us, it will be year since we brought Mady home and have had all three home together! Thursday is also Annabel’s 1st appointment with the Orthoptist (Miss Ida) who will provide us with any exercises for her eyes or patching or any other techniques to avoid surgery, but if surgery is required she will also facilitate that. I am curious about what we will learn from her. Obviously we’d like to avoid any surgeries if possible so please pray that the information Miss Ida has for us will help Annabel.
