Thank you to all of you who have been praying for my family. My dad's surgery went very well today, it was "to the books" as the doctor said. They believe they got all of the cancer and did not have to remove any extra layers. He didn't lose very much blood, not needing any transfusions so that was also good news! This afternoon he was back in his rooms and quite with it, I'm sure the pain meds were helping with that! Please continue to pray for a strong recovery for my dad and a pray for my mom too. Thanks!
I took Annabel for her follow-up blood pressure check today and her reading today was better, 110/59, with normal being 100/59. Last week hers was 130/82 and the one in May was 143/92 so as you can see todays was remarkably better, with the low # reading normal, so hopefully that is a positive sign! Her pediatrician will be calling me tomorrow and we will discuss if she wants any more readings prior to the appointment on the 27th and if she can provide any more insight. Thank you for your prayers thus far for Annabel, please keep them coming!
In other news, I had Mady's PT look at Johnathan's walking today because we are concerned that he's walking with his left foot turned out and putting his weight on the insides of his feet, not allowing his arch to develop or his bones to grow properly. She agreed and recommends orthotics for both feet. His should be low from the get-go, maybe just over the ankle. So tomorrow I will call PM&R to get the script and get the ball rolling. I also had her PT measure Mady's head circumference (she was completely still and calm for her) and she measured 17.125 inches and at her 2 year well child it was measured as 16.93 inches so that made me feel good about things - I will definitely share this info with the pediatrician tomorrow!
Sorry I haven't had pictures with my posts lately, things have just been so crazy. I should have many soon though, we leave this weekend for camping for the week with our close friends the Krohn's and their extended families. I can't wait!!
