This past weekend we went camping at Wilderness State Park with our good friends the Shigley’s. My cousin Julie came along as our helper and was a HUGE help! When we can get a helper for trips, it makes it a little less crazy and therefore a little more enjoyable. Thanks again Jules!!
Overall the trip was a good time! It would have been better if a) it has been a bit warmer, b) less rain (and chance of severe weather), and c) if Annabel hadn’t had a rough first day (aka lots of fussing and gagging/puking) and to top it off Johnathan pulled his usual the first night of being in a different bed and puking all overall. Have I said lately how sick I am of puke?!? Cleaning it up, smelling it, just overall dealing with it, and x’s 2-3!!
It really was a good trip though. We went to Mackinac Island briefly on Friday (before it started raining and was quite chilly) and Saturday we went to Upper Tahquamenon Falls (I had never seen) and went back to Mackinaw City that night to enjoy some ice cream and do some window shopping. This Saturday we’re heading to Cedar Point to camp for a few days with our good friends the Krohn’s. My niece Sarah will be our helper this trip. I’m excited for the beautiful warm weather and am thinking we’ll all have a blast!
