This past Memorial Day weekend we went to NY to visit my husbands family. Overall it was a great trip! The kids were able to play outside a ton – swimming and using the slip n slide, riding power wheel toys (Johnathan loved the John Deere tractor and the girls liked the 4 wheeler), swinging, playing in the sandbox – they were SO tried every night! We also went to the Buffalo Zoo and to a train store. This store was awesome! I had never seen such displays set-up before!
This morning Annabel received her new stroller for riding the bus for preschool. It is purple and has some great features! We also had PM&R for all 3. Overall it was a good appointment, however, Dr. Hornyak did recommend Botox for Annabel in her left arm, prior to starting CHAMPs in the fall, so sometime in August. This would be coordinated with her MRI for her shunt as well as the ABR that audiology wants done since she’ll need to be put under general anesthia for all 3. I am leary of Botox though and not sure if we will go thru with it. Reasons why I am leary include: risks (both of botox and of needing anesthia every 3 months), risk of infection, having to repeat so often, and just my overall gut feeling. Also, Annabel had a rough night last night (I think she’s fighting a migraine) and was therefore tired and CRANKY at the appointment which equates to being tighter than normal) therefore I’m not sure that it was a fair assessment today. I am looking for any advice/input anyone has on it?
