Last Thursday we decided to start solids again (Grandpa Guenther even helped feed - he's never fed a baby cereal!) so we've been on the rice cereal for 5 days and tonight have switched to oatmeal. So far Johnathan has consistently taken all or almost all of it, Mady has done well also (although she's been a bit constipated, hence switching to oatm
eal), and Annabel has been so-so. I know some babies do not like the cereals without fruit added so I figure once we're thru the oatmeal I might try a fruit so that I can start mixing it in for them. So I stopped on the way home to pick up the oatmeal and peeked at the step 1 food - boy is our grocery bill ever going to go up when we add solids to the mix! Seriously though, I am excited to get them on "real" food!Last Friday we had Early On in the morning. I have to say it was one of the best sessions yet! There have been a few things with Annabel that we have been a bit concerned about, not really sure if she was just developing slower than the other two, if it was just a difference in characteristics, or if we were seeing signs of real problems. Anyway, to make a long story short Annabel got Mommy all teary-eyed on Friday, she did every single thing for Shirley (our PT) that we had been concerned about! It was so encouraging to see and was very rejuvenating! One of our concerns is that her left hand has been a little tighter lately - she does use it but not as often as her right and sometimes it is clenched more so we've been working on it. Shirley did say that even if it is a sign of CP that is very mild and that it still may not be an issue at all - huge relief! So we had a great start to the weekend!
On Friday afternoon Grandma and Grandpa Buckley came to visit for the weekend. Bandit came to visit too and loved the babies - I think Chloe was getting jealous!! The babies had a lot of fun with them and were doing goofy things all weekend! Mady is now consistently rolling from her back to tummy and back again and Johnathan is getting down rolling from tummy to back.

Daddy put together the exersaucer this weekend too and so far the babies go in spurts for being interested in it, I think it may be a touch too big yet.

Try tucking a towel in with them in the exersaucer so they don't just flop around. Thats what I did with my kids because they really enjoyed sitting up and playing in it, but at first had a hard time controlling where their body went because it was such a large opening. Glad to see everyone is doing well and love to read the updates.
