I took Johnathan to his follow-up pediatrician appointment this morning and he is doing much better, still wheezing some but was sating 98% so that was a lot better! We saw the same doctor we saw last Thursday (not our normal ped) and she was so happy to see him doing much better, alert and very happy. She wrote a new script for him so he can be weaned from the Prednisonal over the next week and I need to take him in again Friday morning, this time to see Dr. Madison (our normal ped) for one last follow-up. He did test negative for RSV and other viruses so that was a relief,
no need for any antibiotics. So this is our week for the kids: Tuesday – Annabel has CHAMP, Wednesday – Annabel has CHAMP, Friday – Johnathan’s pediatrician follow-up at 8:15, speech therapist at 9:00, Early On for Johnathan and Mady at 9:30, and Annabel has CHAMP from 11:00-1:00. One more week of CHAMP and then things will slow down again! Yesterday afternoon Annabel did some awesome things with her left hand! She held on to a toy and brought it up to her mouth for quite awhile, also using her right hand for support. She has also played with a few other toys with it yesterday was the first time I saw her really grasp something, she’s been using it for weight bearing, and
she’s been moving her fingers individually on that hand, with it appearing that her brain is signally her how to respond to what she wants to do. It is so great to see! I did call one of the other doctors responsible for the treadmill study for Annabel and found out that the study is closing but he thinks that she will be a good candidate for the program so he’s going to be bringing an infant treadmill out to the house in the next few weeks and will see if Annabel is ready. If so he will instruct me on how to help her use it. I’m so excited!Yesterday Johnathan learned how to roll a ball back and forth to me – so cool! Today Mady started pulling herself to stand and now she thinks she
can stand. She’ll pull up and then just let go and obviously can’t hold it. She’s such a goof! I told B.J. that we’re not going to end up with any real crawlers, they’re determined to walk! Definitely time for the baby gates to go up because with them pulling up, the hard floors are not good! This weekend we are hoping to still walk in the Big House, Big
Heart race at UofM being that it supports Mott’s hospital and Neurology but it will be dependent on the weather. B.J.’s parents are coming to town so it will be great to spend some time with them!

Great! Glad everyone seems to be much better. We're going to run the 5K after all, so maybe we'll see you on Sunday.
