15 Months

Wow, 15 months old already? How can it be? Next week my babies will be adjusted to a year old and they will officially be toddlers. Yikes! From baths last night their weights were: Annabel - 17lbs 5 1/2ozs, Madelyn - 15lbs 14ozs, and Johnathan 18lbs 4ozs. Johnathan now weighs almost a pound more than Annabel! The girls have been fluctuating weight a lot lately, we can definitely tell the difference between them being on almost all whole milk and Johnathan still getting the extra calorie formula. Johnathan has been doing so well with eating solids now that sometimes he struggles a bit to finish his bottle, where usually he chuggs it!

Friday morning we had speech from LESA and Early On PT and OT. Our OT was so happy with how well Johnathan's doing eating solids and showed us the next technique to work on for the hiearchy of chewing, she thinks he will progress thru the steps rather quickly by how well he's doing. Annabel has been in such a great mood the last two days and has been moving around, rolling, talking, and laughing a lot, it has been great to see after the appointment earlier in the week! We have thought that his past month has been Johnathan's month to shine, so we told Annabel we think she deserves this next month to be hers!

Yesterday the trio also had audiology in the afternoon. Johnathan and Mady did great (the audiologist was even surprised with how well he did visualizing where the sound was coming from because he didn't have his glasses on because he kept pulling them off - I am curious to see what he can truly see when he's able to tell us someday because it appears that he's seeing so much better than what his script says he should be able to). Annabel did great hearing but she was having a hard time visualizing where the sound came from, however, whenever B.J. or I have done "tests" at home yesterday and today and she's been fine so I'm thinking it was just an off day, after all it was a busy day with all our appointments and the kiddos didn't get much nap time. Johnathan is always followed every 3 months so the audiologist decided to re-test Annabel in 3 also just to see if the results will be better visually, I suspect they will. Mady doesn't need to be seen back for 6 months! They will continue to track the girls more often than normal because of Johnathan's hearing loss, although we're certain it's from the vents/meds, it's technically not 100% known so they error on the side of caution.
