If It's Not The Kids, It's The Dogs

This evening (while my parents watched the trio) B.J. and I took Chloe and Hershey to the vet for their annual exam and shots. It was nice to have some time alone with them to get give them a little extra loving! The report was overall good with the nurses and doctor and commenting on how well behaved they are. Hershey weighs 70lbs. and could lose a lb. or two, Chloe, however, weighs 74 lbs. and needs to lose a good 5 so more walks will be in store for them! Hershey does have extra tartar build-up so we need to brush their teeth more but the good news is we had her eyes checked because of how she appears to see spots and bites at them but her eyes checked out great so that was a huge relief! Chloe didn't fair quite as well, she has an ear infection and is on meds for the next 2 weeks. We were surprised because normally when she has ear irritations she'll start by shaking her head and scratching her ear a lot and then we give her Bendadryl and it usually clears it up but this time she didn't show any of those signs, but sure enough her ear was flaming red when the doctor checked it. She has to go back in 2 weeks for a follow-up, hopefully the medicine will work and she'll feel better soon!

On another note, Annabel appears to be doing better every day, eating and drinking well, being happy, and allowing a little more therapy to be done everyday. Tomorrow is Annabel's 1st aqua therapy appointment at 5:00, it is just an evaluation so she won't actually be in the water but starting next week, every Tuesday at 5:00 will be her special time. I can't wait to see how she responds to this therapy and all the good things it will hopefully do for her!
