Annabel "Walking" and 1st Haircuts

What an exhausting week last week was! It started with the whole family getting our flu shots on the 19th. That night I must have had a reaction to the shot because I was not feeling well for a couple of hours but once I got past it I was fine. The girls came down with a nasty cold yet that day and on Sunday B.J., Johnathan, and myself came down with the cold. I faired the best, only needing a day of nyquil and major rest to get over it, the others did not do as well. B.J. is still coughing, Annabel and Johnathan needed albuterol for a few days, and last Thursday I ended up getting the kids in to the doctor last minute - Johnathan had an ear infection (as I suspected as he wasn't leaving in his hearing aid/was VERY cranky/and was starting to not drink all his milk) and Annabel had some fluid on her ears but not enough to be treatable. Everyone's slowly but surely getting back to normal and I'm praying for a fun, healthy weekend!

This past weekend was also my multiples club mom-to-mom sale so I was very busy with that, but of course that didn't help any with everyone being sick! This weekend we are hoping to go to the apple orchard if weather permits and Sunday is the Big House, Big Heart race at the U which we have walked in since it started in 2007. This race benefits Mott Children's hospital (where the trio were born) and the neurological department, both which mean very much to us. We have vowed to always participate in this walk.

Last Friday all of our Early On therapists came to the house - PT, OT, and Speech. It was our 1st visit of the new year with everyone together and all I can say is holy information overload!! I am very excited though because I think we have a great team of therapists and the goals set for the kids are so exciting and I think very achievable!!

So big news this past Sunday! Annabel started "walking" forward in her walker! She did this multiple times all across the living room and didn't just drag her left foot as she had in the past, she was actually picking it up in the correct forward motion. This is so key to her being able to walk independantly some day!

Tonight we took the kids for their 1st haircuts to Fantastic Sams. All three did great, no tears! Johnathan even had his hair shaved in the back and didn't mind one bit! He was such a ham, even had one of the other stylists blowing bubbles for him while the one cut his hair, our ladies man! Fantastic Sams was great, even gave each of them a special certificate for their first haircut, which included their stylists name. The first pics are pre-haircut and then during the cut.
