Great Weekend

Our original plans for this weekend were to camp in Traverse City but given the weather (cold mornings and not sure how we'd feed the kids), already being exhausted heading in to the weekend, and the fact that in the past we've always gone to NY to visit B.J.'s family and celebrate our neice Paige's b-day, we decided to cancel camping and head to NY! We left Thursday night and got in early Friday morning. Johnathan had his usual first night episode of puking all over, and again at naptime the next day - hopefully he'll outgrow this sometime soon!!

Friday I called nephrology to check on Annabel's bloodwork and was relieved to hear that everything came back normal so the plan is unless she develops any signs of hypertension, she will have the echo in February with a follow-up doctor appointment that day.

During naps on Sunday the trio were giggling like crazy and when B.J. checked on them we discovered that Johnathan had discovered how to climb out of the crib and in the meantime unrolled some of Grandma's wrapping paper and threw all of their stuffed animals (among other things) in on Annabel, thankfully not hurting her! Needless to say we're in the process of figuring out the plan for their room at home now, thinking toddler beds for Mady and Johnathan with crib tent on Annabel's crib for now.

At Paige's b-day party on Sunday Mady and Johnathan had their first M&M's, it took about 3 before Johnathan started asking for more, "more M's, more M's" - too funny! Mady learned to drive the John Deere tractor and almost had the tricycle figured out. Throughout the weekend there were two restaurants we went to where there were only 2 highchairs so Mady had to sit in the chair and she did great, eating well and behaving well, we were so proud of her!

I have some pictures from the weekend but they may not get posted until this weekend, it's a crazy few days and will be for the next week or so. Tonight Annabel had hippo, tomorrow night speech, and Thursday I have to have Johnathan up at 4:30 for his lung function test (letting him drink juice until 5:00 and then trying to keep him awake until his test at 9:00) and my parents will take the girls to therapy, Friday night is the fair, Saturday my cousins baby shower, Sunday another b-day party, Monday aqua, Tuesday hippo, Wednesday speech (also the day GM is doing the next round of lay-offs), and Thursday therapy at DMC. Not complaining, just an insight as to the craziness going on right now. In addition I must get pricing for the upcoming mom-to-mom sale!

I was going to warn you about Johnathan's clinbing that he may soon climb out of his crib. Tyra did it earlier than expected and I did put her in a toddler bed also.
