6 Month Well Baby Appointment

Today was the babies 6 month well baby visit. Annabel now weighs 9lbs 8ozs and is 22 3/4inches long, Madelyn weighs 7lbs 7ozs and is 21 3/8inches long, and Johnathan weighs 9lbs 1oz and is 22inches long. The babies are finally getting closer to being on the growth charts, granted, at 5% but we'll take it!! Dr. Madison is very happy with their weight gains and how well they are doing overall.

Mady and Johnathan are being sent to have their measurements taken to see if they'll need to wear a helmet to correct their headshape - both of them have assymetrical ears where one is further up than the other. Dr. Madison thinks that Mady will need to but thinks there may be a chance that Johnathan won't - that would be great! We are hoping that even if Mady needs to wear one that she'll only need it for a couple of months if we correct it now as opposed to waiting
longer.

Annabel is being weened off her Zantac, however, Mady is being started on it to see if that will help her eating problems - we will know by the end of the weekend if it's working or not and if it's not we'll just discontinue it. Mady also had an xray of her neck to make sure there weren't any spinal issues causing her favor her right side. We received the results already and everything looks great! We had predicted this since she's been doing so much better with looking left but we wanted to make sure before doing any extensive stretches. Mady also had some bloodwork done that will hopefully show good results so that she won't need to return to GI for follow-up anymore - we will get those results tomorrow.

Next Thursday Mady and Johnathan return to Ortho for a follow-up ultrasound which will tell if the harness is working for Johnathan or not (please pray that it is) and to verify that Mady's bones are now growing properly (please pray that are).
