Meeting New Friends

It is amazing how busy our weekends are now that we can finally take the babies out and about! Last Friday we took them to Costco for the first time and it was funny, the babies got a lot of attention but mostly people were just amazed by the stroller, saying they had never seen anything like it! Saturday we had our multiples picnic at Kensington (we'll be there again this Sunday for our NICU reunion) and on Sunday our friends, the McGuire's came to visit with their 6 month old baby Logan. It was cute to see the triplets checking him out and them all babbling together! We have learned that our Madelyn is going to be quite the flirt as you can see of her picture with Mike.

This weekend we have B.J.'s work picnic on Thursday, on Friday our friends, the Whitcomb's, are coming over, on Sunday we have the NICU reunion, and then either Sunday night or Monday morning we'll be leaving for NY for the week.

Tomorrow night will be baths and a new weigh-in but as of last baths Annabel weighed 15lbs 10ozs, Madelyn 13lbs 3 1/2ozs, and Johnathan 15lbs 1oz. Mady has started making a few tummy crawls forward! It won't be long and she'll be cruising! Her and Johnathan are both rolling all over the place, they're getting braver and rolling towards the foyer and kitchen. The other day B.J. was holding Johnathan and Mady was across the room and apparently wanted attention too. She rolled so quickly to him and started tugging on his sock, he didn't even realize it until she was right there - so cute!! Mady has also figured out how to pick things up with her feet. I love seeing all three babies study something until they figure it out, it's so neat to see those wheels turning!

Annabel is doing best with sitting up. She can sit by herself for a few seconds and she continues to roll, generally over her left side. It appears that her stretching is really paying off, she doesn't seem as tight to us in her shoulder anymore which is awesome! And we've seen some pretty promising things with her left hand lately too!

We've started Johnathan on solids again, feeding him with our finger and completely letting him dictate what and how much he eats. He seems to do pretty well in the morning but for the dinner feeding he's not real hungry so he chooses to not eat. Oh well, at least he's making progress! Johnathan loves standing and jumping and has even started pulling himself up on things. Mady took after him the other day and stood up against their PT mat.

Tomorrow will be a milestone day as the babies will officially be on all cold formula! We have been gradually decreasing the amount of warm formula to prepare them for milk the end of next month and we're finally there. I can't wait to not have to use those warmers anymore!
