We're On Strike!

Johnathan and Madelyn are on strike from the NHL, they've thrown in their helmets! We had their helmet appointment yesterday and it was decided that Mady definitely needed a new helmet as she had grown hers and Johnathan had outgrown his too so the question was whether or not to get him another helmet? We decided that since he still does have some room for improvement and since the clinic would like to use the babies as a learning lesson (they'll be 11 months when their new helmets and usually heads are only really re-moldable up to a year but they're unsure of how their adjusted age fits in to the question so they'd like to see how much more his can improve at this point) and are willing to chaulk up the expense of the new helmets, not charging the insurance company (who wouldn't pay for another one) that we would get both of them new helmets. So, since they both outgrew theirs and the current helmets weren't helping them anymore they get a week and a half break from them! Yes, they were SO sad - not!!! So they will get their new helmets on their 11 month b-day, June 17th. I can only imagine how thrilled they'll be to have them put on after this break! It is expected that Johnathan will need his for another month or two, Mady probably two to three months.
