Annabel will officially start the CHAMP program on Tuesday, September 16! She had her evaluation last Thursday and I was so proud of her! The therapists (PT and OT) are amazed at everything she's already doing (awesome in prone, tolerating tummy time well, bringing BOTH hands to midline together, prop sitting with assistance, and so much more!) that they can't wait for her to participate in the program. Annabel will officially be the youngest child in the program to date, the previous youngest was 17 months and was also named Annabel! She will go to the U for the program on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then our Early On PT will conduct her therapy at our house on Fridays. It will be 3 weeks of intensive therapy with wearing the cast (it will be from elbow down and will have a slit to remove it if necessary) all day and then the therapy will lighten up as time goes on. Annabel was such a good girl during the eval, I am so excited to see what this program can do for her!
On her own, Annabel has recently been sleeping on her tummy a lot, in fact, she slept the whole night last night! She has also started feeding herself a crunchie stick, if you put it in her right hand, she'll feed it to herself. I love watching her develop, it is so exciting! She is definitely going to be our music girl, she LOVES listening to music and dancing and playing the toys that make music. Another exciting thing for Annabel is that her left bottom central incisor popped thru on Saturday and her right is close! I love little baby teeth, so cute!!
