Yesterday we saw Dr. Archer for the babies eye appointment follow-up. Annabel is slightly more farsighted but not enough to warrant new lenses. The doctor said that her glasses are obviously helping her with crossing her eyes so as long as it stays so variable, it's looking like she'll avoid the surgeries, yeah!! Mady has a bit more stigmatism so her script also changed but again, not enough to warrant new lenses. The doctor said that as the eye gets larger her stigmatism will hopefully get better so we will see. Johnathan's script stayed the same and Dr. Archer said his retinas look great so that is very good ne
ws for him! Basically, with the glasses his vision is "normal" -yeah!! So overall we have three babies who all have their glasses for different reasons, Annabel having the best vision other than the crossing. Because of her crossing Annabel will be seen again in 4 months whereas Mady and Johnathan will be seen in 6 months. Because Johnathan and Madelyn's heads are now almost shaped correctly we are now going to really focus on them wearing their glasses and/or hearing aids. So now helmets will only be used when sleeping or riding in the car - Mady and Johnathan are definitely not complaining! The babies are also off their backs a lot more now when playing so hopefully they'll still be able to correct more on their own.
Mady has gone about 3 feet crawling now and she has a tooth that's popping thru! Mady is also now pulling to a standing position when she reaches up to us, as Johnathan has done for awhile. Johnathan is sitting up the best and can hold it for quite awhile.
Annabel slept on her tummy for a few hours Wednesday night for the first time! She has been rolling a lot and did some great prop sitting on Wednesday. These are pictures of Johnathan and Madelyn up and rocking, getting ready to crawl!
