A Good Week

This week has started out much better than last week! We were finally able to go to church again on Sunday since everyone was feeling better and we were actually home for once! I love getting the kiddos dressed for church, especially the girls!

Johnathan and Annabel are feeling much better and have been weened down to 3 breathing treatments per day with minimal coughing in between, usually only coughing when they wake up. With any luck by the beginning of next week we'll be done with the treatments! As much as I hated the harness and the helmets (although they've both surved their purpose and in the end I'd recommend them), the breathing treatments are by far worse! It is so hard to put them thru 15 minutes of them being so upset, especially so many times a day.

Today was Madelyn and Johnathan's follow-up with Dr. Caird. They had x-rays of their hips and Mady's look great so she does not need any further follow-up. Johnathan's look great too but because he was in the harness he will need to be followed up with until he's grown to make sure that the cartilaged in the left hip turns in to bone appropriately - so far looking good! So his next appointment is in 6 months and then it will be every other year or so. I love eliminating appointments!!

Some new things this week. Mady and Johnathan are doing awesome at prop sitting and have been making more and more crawls forward. Since yesterday Mady has started holding her own bottle during some feedings and today she ate some cheerios successfully for the first time! We knew Annabel was back to feeling better today because she has been rolling a lot! She is also doing much better tolerating tummy time and is working on her prop sitting too. And Johnathan is back to himself, laughing his deep belly laugh again. I have made it my goal to figure out how to upload some videos this weekend - his laugh is priceless!

Yet this week we have Annabel's PT Thursday morning and then eyes for all 3 in the afternoon. I'll include a blog of more pictures from the week in the next post.
