It seems like life is so busy these days, now that we can take the trio out and about we are always going somewhere, never any down time but that is okay. I love taking them places and watching them experience new things, learning and developing! This past Saturday Annabel had hippotherapy in the morning, this week and last week she rode Bobby, who is taller than and not as wide-based as Tess which gives her a different walking pattern for her muscles to experience. The whole family went down to Ann Arbor, with B.J., Mady, and Johnathan going to Chelsea Lumber to order the wood for the swingset while Annabel and I were at therapy. When they came to pick us up Mady and Johnathan got to meet Bobby (they were both hesitant) and got to check out the stable, they loved walking around in there! The therapist, Liz, said that they can come down again sometime and ride one of the horses for a bit, which will be fun for them!
Saturday afternoon the trio played together for quite awhile and Annabel sat for over an hour in free play! She even got upset from time-to-time when the others would take a toy from her but instead of throwing herself back right away like she has in the past she fought thru it and kept sitting!!
Saturday evening we had my cousins graduation party. The kids had a good time, walking around and checking out so many new things, including splashing and dipping their heads in to the cattle feeding trough which had the pop with cold ice/water in it! My aunt got a picture and will be sending it to me. My kids are definitely not afraid of water! Johnathan did his first somersault at the graduation party. Him and Mady have been walking on their heads for awhile and he went all the way over this time and loved it! I think I might have to get them in to some sort of gymnastics class in the fall. Sunday I made breakfast for the family (we’ve moved pancake day to Sundays since Saturday morning we’re up early for Annabel’s hippotherapy).
During the day we had the kids outside for awhile but Annabel hadn’t napped yet so she was chilling inside for awhile. Mady and Johnathan were able to splash in the pool, was supposed to be in diapers only but they got in before I was able to strip them down. Oh well! Sunday night we went to dinner at Red Robin with my parents and then for dessert at DQ. Mady and Johnathan ate so well at dinner, we were very proud of them! When we got back home we went back outside and Mady went up and down our little steps/slide all by herself for the first time and boy was she proud of herself!
Lately Mady and Johnathan having been saying many new words. Mady’s include Thank You, Welcome, All done, sit, stop, get, hot, she’s in the stage of repeating EVERYTHING that’s said.
Johnathan’s said vroom, done, moo, no, baaa, comb, down, a few others, and he’s now waving for hi and bye. They are both progressing nicely. Annabel hasn’t added many new words except for hi but she is really working on her gross motor skills. The next post will hopefully be of the kids new swingset we got them for their b-day. B.J. and my dad have been assembling it this week!
