Therapies Galore

Annabel had her first hippotherapy session last Saturday and LOVED it! She rode for the full 30 minutes and didn't fuss at all. She rode forward, backward, and side-saddle. She was very tired the rest of the day and was a little sore from so many different muscles being stretched. The therapist said that this is the perfect time to get her started in hipportherapy, that she thinks it will help Annabel in so many ways.

Today she had aqua therapy for the first time in a few weeks and boy was she happy to get back in the water! She was in for the full hour and did great working on standing, weight bearing in her arms, and holding on to things with her hands. Allison turned on the jets for her for the first time today and she wasn't real sure at first but decided that the deep pressure is just what she needed!

This afternoon Johnathan had his first session (will be every Tuesday) with the new LESA speech person and I am so happy, she has the exact same approach/philosophy as the therapist at UofM had so I know his speech will continue to sore this summer!

Thursday morning I will take Annabel to the orthoptist (Miss Ida) for a follow-up and in the afternoon all 3 will have their respective therapies at DMC. The weeks will fly bye this summer but I can't wait to see how much more the kids develop!
